This is a mint, almost new, Custom Shop Fender Proto Telecaster. It was used once for a 4 hour recording session. Otherwise it's been stored in its case in my home in the closet of my home studio. It's a great sounding guitar, and very easy to play. Unfortunately the family had an emergency and I need to raise some funds. The Proto Series models (formerly Pro Series) are the Fender Custom Shop’s proving-ground instruments, built with distinctive features typically requested for Master Built guitars and basses. Fender has incorporated several such features into this special custom instrument—this Proto Telecaster, built in Dec 2014, has a hand-selected light ash body with an easy-access neck heel and an AAA birdseye maple neck with a 10/56 profile and a smooth satin finish. Other features include a 9.5”-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, Josefina Red Hot Tele® pickups, RSD Telecaster bridge, and vintage-style tuners. This makes for a very striking instrument visually. Sonically it very versatile and can be used on many genres of music; from Country, Blues, and Rock. I paid $3,400.00 for the guitar new. I'm giving a substantial discount since I used it once, but it's basically new with all the extra items and documentation included.
