What makes this guitar special: A somewhat rare model, in a flashy Firebird Red finish with terrific playability and feel. The DeArmond 2000 pickups sound terrific in tandem with the great hollow body sound Gretsch is famous for, and this piece has been player upgraded to the Chet Atkins style Bigsby handle, for easier and more comfortable use of the tremolo. This piece comes professionally setup by one of Cream City Music’s in-house luthiers, and will arrive ready to play.Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some surface scratches throughout, and visible scratches/buckle rash on the back of the body. The nut has been glued down and there is some visible glue around the area where this was done. The pickguard is missing, and the original tremolo arm has been replaced.Body: Multi-ply double bound maple hollow body with dual f-holes in firebird red finish. Compensated bridge with rosewood base. Mounted Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Chet Atkins style tremolo arm.Weight: 6 lb, 14.3 ozNeck: Slim maple neck with black side dots and mother-of-pearl thumbnail inlays. Double bound rosewood fingerboard. Frets are in terrific shape with almost no visible wear. Chrome sealed vintage style tuners function perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.Electronics: Dual DeArmond 2000 pickups (Neck-8.67K ohms, Bridge-8.78K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and knurled G-Arrow knobs, 2x individual volume, 1x master volume, 1x master tone.Case: Gig bag included.
