Fender Custom Shop 72 Telecaster Custom Journeyman The striking 1972 Telecaster Custom is a favorite at the Custom Shop. Introduced back then as an upgraded Telecaster, it featured a humbucking neck pickup designed to make it more of a rock guitar, and the originals were also dense and heavy. We've now customized the original design. The guitar features an ash body with journeyman black finish, maple neck and fretboard, F-stamp tuners and 3-saddle bridge. The Fender humbucking neck pickup is voiced a little hotter, with a new Twisted Tele bridge pickup to provide excellent tonal balance. Other features include two volume and two tone controls and the original three-bolt neck-joint design.
