Probably not a bad idea to get your Hendrix era strat together while nobody is thinking about it. It's another year or so before we start hearing about the 50th anniversary of all of Jimi's historic live shows. Here is a 1969 body refinished in white and the color does change slightly along with changes in room lighting. Looks like it was a sunburst originally. Having learned from past mistakes I took the white paint down in the neck pocket very slowly with light solvents this time. Nothing happened for about the first 18 passes and then the paint finally started to loosen up. About the 32nd pass or so the green circular stamps started to appear. One is 45 and the other is hard to tell. I stopped there fearing that I might take up the green ink although someone else might want to take it further. 100% guaranteed that this is a 1969 body. The middle pickup was reversed and the cavity was sanded back to allow it to fit. The bridge cavity was also widened a bit to allow room for some changed wiring but both areas have been filled back in.The last photo shows it loaded up but if is for reference only and the parts are not included, only the body. The one before that is the neck pocket before the solvent process. For those who like historical references the pots on the guitar were that 32nd week of '69 which I believe is the week before Woodstock.International buyers please contact me before buying so I can obtain a shipping quote for you.
