I've owned this mandolin for about a year and a half. I love its tone, but just can't get used to the vintage neck profile and low fret height. It appears to be all original parts (see picture of pickguard "Pat. Mar. 30.'09"). I brought it to a local luthier specializing in mandolins (Google the Lefty Luthier), who had this to say about the mandolin: "I did a complete assessment of your mandolin inside and out. In general it is in excellent condition for its age." He cleaned and adjusted the mandolin to check it out and improve intonation. It has no visible cracks or signs of major repairs, though there are a number of flaws in the finish, as one would expect from a 100+ year old instrument! Comes with a well worn, but useable hardshell case.
