What makes this guitar special: A faithful recreation of John Lennon's modified '59 325 in Jetglo. These reissues made their debut in '84 & this particular model was manufactured in '98. This cool little number has all the hallmarks of Lennon's first Rickenbacker - the short scale neck, three pickups & TV knobs with Bigsby tremolo. Production ceased around 2001 & these are becoming harder to find. This gorgeous guitar was just recently acquired from the original owner who special ordered it from Rickenbacker with the white truss rod cover & pickguard rather than the standard gold. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!Cosmetic Condition: Very clean condition overall with some minor nicks & dings; various surface scratches.
Neck: Slender maple neck with thick rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Vintage style Ric Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 21" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.Body: Semi-hollow maple body with Bigsby tremolo & six-saddle adjustable bridge. Split-level white plexi pickguard; guitar weighs 6 lbs 14.4 oz.Pickups: Three vintage style "toaster top" single coils. Dual volume & tone controls with "TV" knobs; 3-way toggle switch; mono output. All electronics are in perfect working condition.Case: Original vintage style hardshell case included with original owner's manual & polish cloth.
