Here is something you don't see everyday: a 1974 lefty Gibson SG Special with factory left handed Gibson Bigsby tremolo and the early Gibson chainsaw case. The pickups are the original Gibson mini-humbuckers with black plastic covers. The original Schaller "harmonica" bridge has been replaced with a nice Tone Pros bridge with vintage style nylon saddles, and the strap buttons are replacements. All other parts look to be original. Excellent condition for a 43 year old guitar: Tuners hold nicely, all pots, knobs & switches work fine with no static or noise. Frets have some wear (see photo) but still play fine. The body has it's fair share of small nicks and dings but visually they seem to blend in with the aged natural finish (see photos.) There are 2 extra holes where another strap button was installed at some point and the headstock has a "2" indicating this guitar was a factory 2nd, an employee purchased guitar, or perhaps maybe a prototype.  Guitar performs as well as any in my collection. The neck is the 1970's style with a slim taper. This guitar is a collectors piece for sure but could still be used for recording and live applications. This guitar has only been in my collection since last year so I don't know it's full history, but feel free to ask me any questions. I'll do my best to answer them. These guitars were only made for a few years in the early/mid 1970's, and this is the only lefty I've ever ran across.
