1978 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe electric guitar & original hard case. Needs new strings. Weight is 9 lbs 12 oz. The pots (volume/tone potentiometers) are all original with CTS factory codes 137-7822 (22nd week of 1978). Serial number is legible in photos with "Made In USA" stamped underneath. A "Rio Grande" brand humbucking pickup was installed in the bridge position (see last photo). The tuners were replaced long ago with high quality grovers. There was a coil tap switch installed at one time and the tiny hole was plugged with a pearl dot (see photos). The finish is 100% original. The back of the neck was carefully sanded to remove the finish only, no wood, just to give it a better feel. The frets are in great shape with almost all of the meat still left on them. Excellent player! Original Gibson hard case is in good condition with all working hinges.
