Product description:

Condition:

The guitar has a dent, right of the of the fingerboard on the front body seen from the front at the height of the 22nf fret(see image 6 bottom right red circle). A dent at the back edge, between the jack and electronic department (see image 7 top left and top right for close up red circle). Missing pieces are the scratchboard and the tremolo bar. I always preferred to play jems without scratchboard to have more room for the right hand and never used a tremolo bar, so I put em away and now I cannot find it unfortunately, so both pieces are excluded from the auction. But in case I find the pieces later on, after the auction, I'm willing to send the new owner both pieces, but i remind you that this action EXCLUDES the scratchboard and tremolo bar!!! All original screws to fixate the scratchboard are included (see image 1 top right). One of the case foot rubbers is missing(see image 12 left center red circle). No missing screws or parts(apart from the scratchboard and the tremolo bar), no modifications made. Original hardware(pickups, electronics, screws, ...). Typical wear on serial backplate for this model. The guitar is great shape technically. The potentiometers, pickup switch and input jack work flawlessly without noise. No modifications made.
The Headstock and neck of the guitar are in great shape,  the tuners work precise, no play or wiggle at all. The truss rod is in great shape, I adjusted for a new set of string about 2 years ago and there was no need to touch it since. The truss rod does it's job flawlessly. The frets are barely used, there is not fret rot/rust, and they play beautifully smooth.
The neck is super straight and has no dips and no twist. So super low action on the strings is possible without a problem. I have tried to photograph the neck straightness in auctions before, but i never got the focus right, nor do i have a lens that shows the actual shape of the neck. I guarantee an amazing playing neck, butter smooth and straight. No damage on the neck or fingerboard whatsoever.
The neck feels super silky from the headstock to the end of the board. I assure you that the guitar is a really fine playing instrument, without buzz or other noise, but depending on where to buyer lives(climate, temperature, string gauge), the guitar may need a re-setup off course,Currently this guitar is set-up with 9-42 Dean Markley Blue Steel series strings, and I have made a decent setup to my knowledge and liking, with low to medium action.
The Headstock, neck and body resonate very very well with each other and gives you a nice 'ring' played dry and through an amp.
The guitar has always been stored in its case at room temperature, it has never been exposed to very cold or warm climate, humidity or any other extreme conditions.
It has never exposed to, or been stored around smokers for a prolonged period of time. The case smells sweet, like case, wood and polish.
I bought this instrument on ebay from a german seller who was the original buyer. That buyer bought straight from a store and was no smoker, took very much care about the guitar. I went to fetch the guitar by car, about one day of driving there and back, and he asked me to take care of the instrument, as he was very much in love with it but simply had too many guitars to be able to play this one. I am selling for the same reason. I too am non-smoker, and hate it when guitars are sweaty and stink from cigarrettes.
The guitar feels warm and smooth to the touch, it is a great playing Jem, allthough most of them are, especially the old ones such as this. Why I sell this guitar. I have some instruments, and another main Jem that i play mostly, I do not want this guitar to sit around, so that's why I sell it.
I NEVER dropped the guitar, NEVER spillt liquids on it. I just took it out of the house 2 times for jam sessions and always carried it or had it in the case.
The guitar is a little worn, hair scratches and a few dents(please refer to the first paragraph of the 'condition' section and the top of the auction as well ass the reference images to see the few minor dents). This guitar will last you as long as you take care of it. It is a real classic, affordable and built in a very fine manner. The case is in mint condition, apart from one foot rubber that just fell of one day from, not from dropping the case or any other impact, but from basic careful usage.
Maybe also the result from putting the case only the floor while moving it in a direction. I inspected the other stamps, they really don't wiggle, or want to come of easily. Though the case stands on its own, it is then slanted, so either remove them all, or replace that one somehow. The rest of the case is perfect shape apart from a few scratches of course, and will protect very well against impacts.

Identification:

I identified the Jem by looking at this website: http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/reference/dating.htm
Following the information in the 'JEM/UV' section, the first 2 digits are the production year. So '90' is 1990.
And the next 4 digits are the number of consecutive built jems, in this case '4383' is the 4383'th built jem in the year 1990.

Missing parts:
transparent Ibanez scratchboardIbanez Tremolo bar
