VERY RARE - Up for Auction is my 1971 Fender Abigail Ybarra Set of Pickups and covers. Excellent condition. I have contacted Fender Corp…on these pick ups. They stated AY was not Dating Custom shop with dates like this …these were probably initialed and dated at the time of production by Abbey. They also stated the Black bobbins could very well have been used back then as a test bobbin…a nd also CBS did not keep as tight control over every thing including winding…these windings are in the upper 6 range on all 3. Fender mentioned they could have been special order back then with Hotter winds and the Black bottoms. These are Very Rare…I have never seen these come up on Ebay or reverb. ( These are NOT Custom Shop Pickups)….I have had these for some time …and looking for cash. check my other auctions. USA auction and shipping only. Good Luck Bidding !!!
