I'm moving some excess gear to help fund another purchase, so up for auction is this extremely rare vintage mid-1980s Schecter Super Strat in all original condition.
From my research I believe this is a Californian-made Schecter (note no 'TM' on the Schecter logo) prior to the company relocating to Dallas, Texas. The serial number is C 0227 as can be seen in the attached photos which suggests the guitar was made between 1984 and 1987.
The neck is constructed from birds-eye maple and the body features a book-matched flame maple top with cream binding. It features brass hardware, which was in vogue when this guitar was made.
This instrument plays like butter and the sense of total quality is felt the moment you start playing it. No wonder these guitars have remained very sought after.
It comes with a non-original tweed hardshell case.
Pick up is from Parkdale, Victoria 3195 or you can arrange a courier at your cost. The size of the case exceeds Australia Post's limits, so please ignore the postage calculator for shipping within Australia. This item is also advertised elsewhere, so I reserve the right to end the auction if the item is no longer available for sale. Please read the description carefully and view all of the photos prior to placing your bid. If you have any questions or require further information please ask prior to placing your bid. If you require insurance on the item please say so. If you are bidding from outside Australia, I will determine shipping costs at the end of the auction for the successful bidder. I will only charge exact shipping costs and wherever possible I recycle packaging. I don't know the customs and taxation laws of your country, so you're responsible for all duties and taxes payable if they are applicable.
