This circa 1928 Syle 5K features beautifully flamed Hawaiian Koa wood throughout, with pearl inlaid borders, headstock, and fingerboard. The tuner style dates the ukulele to the late 1920's. All original with the original hardshell case. Only one repair was required, to a single crack on the back which was beautifully fixed by my luthier. This 5K has a lovely patina to the original finish, and shows wear from playing on both the upper bout and back of the neck. Many of these expensive 5K models were owned by professional musicians who used them to make a living. It plays beautifully with low action, and it sounds so sweet that you will have a hard time not playing it. But you will want to stop once in a while to stare deeply into the pearl and Koa and think to yourself "Martin really knew how to make a ukulele back then".
