Up for sale, a 2005 Gretsch G6120DSW Nashville in excellent, near mint condition and perfect working order. Prior to re-acquiring the rights to use the Chet Atkins name, this model was known as the "Nashville" 6120 model, and is currently marketed by Gretsch once again under Chet's name. The DSW stands for DynaSonic and Western, the latter referring to the classic Western aesthetics, and the former referring to the DynaSonic single coil pickups, known for their glassy top end, note clarity, and fat but tight bass response. With a 17" fully hollow body and entirely maple construction, this Gretsch has an immediate attack, and a clear, balanced acoustic tone that's enhanced by the great midrange character and treble articulation of the DynaSonic pickups. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and currently strung with 10-46 strings, this G6120-DSW plays effortlessly with low, comfortable action. The two-piece maple neck has a medium C profile with a 1 11/16" nut width and traditional Gretsch 24.6" scale length.  The neck has enough depth to feel solid and substantial, but is slim enough for fast and accurate chording and melody work. The rosewood fretboard features cream binding, red side dot position markers, a brass nut, pearloid western block "Cactus, Steer Heads, and Fences" inlays, and the original frets that show only the lightest hint of wear in the first position, with virtually no wear up the neck, solid intonation, and no buzzing or dead spots. The bound, stained maple headstock boasts a pearloid inlaid Gretsch logo and steer head inlay, and the tuners have been upgraded to a set of Waverlys. These vintage-style open back tuners have a vintage-correct look and incredibly precise and smooth tuning.
The laminated maple body features the classic "Nashville" aesthetic touches, instantly recognizable bright and vibrant orange stain, white binding around the edges and the F-holes, and traditional Gretsch "G" brand. The hardware includes a translucent plexi Nashville "Signpost" pickguard, rosewood based - aluminum compensated bridge, and Bigsby B6 vibrato tailpiece, all of which are practically flawless. All of electronics work as they should, with the stock DeArmond DynaSonic single coils wired to a three-way pickup selector, master volume and tone knobs, and individual volume knobs for each pickup. Cosmetically, the guitar has been extremely well cared for since new. Aside from very faint surface patina on the gold pointer knobs and DynaSonic pickup surrounds, the guitar shows no notable wear!
The original hardshell case, Gretsch certificate of authenticity, and assorted paperwork is included.
