VINTAGE 1982 GIBSON ES 335 with Nickel Hardware and original Hardshell case. ~ RARE FACTORY BLACK ~ Absolutley amazing first year return of the Gibson ES 335 Dot Reissue. This guitar is in very good condition. It has aged beautifully over the years. It does have a lot of little dings and finish checking all over the body but structurally it is in great shape with no breaks or repairs. Some people PAY a lot of extra money for this kind of aging. You're buying a guitar that has done this naturally over the last 34 years and looks incredibly authentic because it's the real thing. You hardly ever see these in Black! The guitar has been refretted with jumbo frets and fitted with a bone nut. The original bridge was replaced with a Callaham ABR-1 and the tuners are Pat. Pending Grovers from the late 50s. Everything else appears to be original. The Double Stamped Tim Shaw Humbuckers sound absolutely fantastic. This guitar plays like a dream and has been professionally set up by one of the best guitar luthiers in Nashville. The truss rod turns. The frets look and feel great. The neck shape is a very comfortable C ..somewhere between a 60s and 50s profile, not too chunky but not too thin either. This guitar is perfect. It needs nothing. The original case has been to hell and back but still functions. I bought this guitar about 6 months ago from the Music Zoo. The last 5 pictures are from when they had the guitar listed. I love this guitar but I'm just not using it as much as I thought I would and I hate for such an amazing guitar to just sit around in its case. Feel free to ask any questions.
