"The 1423 was a Harmony-made Les Paul™ look-alike, and a real favorite over the years it was available. The semi-solid (which, I guess really means hollow with no sound holes) design paired with those growly DeArmond pickups made for a great sounding guitar, with a boatload of control. The special 'blender control' for 'true string tone effects' was sort of a balance control between the bass and treble pickups, a pretty cool idea, even today."This specific Jupiter is a first year made in 1959. This has been my third Jupiter (my favorite guitar) and it's by far the nicest one I have owned. This guitar is in "excellent" condition, it must have been kept in the case for the last 60 years because it's ridiculously perfect with hardly any wear and only two nicks. To let this guitar go kills me and I keep having second thoughts but I'm moving to New York City and really need any money I can get. With that being said, no trades. This specific guitar came from Trading Musician in Seattle and belonged to one of the techs there who set it up perfectly. It comes with the original hard shell case which is a quality hard case with a beautiful retro orange inside. You will not regret purchasing this super cool, vintage guitar
