This drum is in really good condition, but it is not perfect.
Several pictures were taken in bright sunlight to show more than the eye would normally see.The sunlight shows fading and lessening of the black finish on both the top and bottom hoops in numerous places.
On the bottom hoop, as shown in one picture, there is a noticeable place where the paint was scratched away from where the snare drum stand was positioned.In the bright sunlight, dust particles on the black lacquer finish look like white fuzz spots.Nevertheless, the drum does have some finger marks, smudges, and a few fine scratch marks on the black lacquer shell. All of the Gadd drums, whether birch, maple or metal, or 13” or 14”diameter, are variations of a great sounding drum. This 13” drum is birch and has a commanding sound. The Gadd 10 strand snare wires and the snare bed make this drum sound popping.
