1950 Gibson ES-175ElectricSpanish Archtop Hollow Body with Sunburst Finish Not a reissue, this time-honored player is in excellent condition and worthy of a place in the finest collection. The P-90 pickup, two pots, tuning knobs and hardware are original. An aftermarket trapeze tailpiece is currently in place, but the original tailpiece will be included with the instrument. Mechanically and electronically, the guitar is in fine condition, having a true neck and stable joint with, no indication of past damage or replacement. Both pots function without issue to produce a rich, full tone. Cosmetically, this is a highly-collectible instrument. The finish is beautifully aged, all bindings are sound, and the pick guard is in excellent condition. Also in beautiful condition are the bound fingerboard, rosewood bridge, pearloid inlays, and crown headstock inlay. Included with the instrument is its original case, which has been valued alone at $500. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Serial Number A-63XX is stamped on the white oval style label, indicating that this is truly a vintage instrument.
