I am listing a beautiful Fender Mustang electric guitar, with an included hardshell case. The guitar looks, feels, and plays like a champ. I don't have a use for it because I tend to play Les Paul guitars, and this is just a different playing style. For that reason, it has been used very lightly and essentially shows no wear and tear (other than the one missing plastic knob cover and slight finish wear, both evident in the photos)As you can see in the pictures, this is "Crafted in Japan" as part of the reissue that came between 1999-2002. It is Dark Lake Placid Blue with the Competition Stripe. The Competition Mustangs were originally released in the late 1960s-70s, and are particularly collectible because of their relative rarity. The Mustang was reissued beginning in the 1990s and achieved great popularity, due to their use by alternative and grunge bands. In particular, Kurt Cobain famously played a Mustang, as well as David Byrne of the Talking Heads, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, and John Fogerty of CCR.The hardshell case is in great shape and is structurally sound all over. It is perfect for travel or gigging, and is included in the sale.Bid with confidence! This is a gorgeous guitar that plays great.
