What makes this guitar special: Easily one of the most straight-forward and inexpensive American-made Gibsons on the market, this SG Standard comes in one of Gibson’s earliest pickup configurations. It’s a no frills rock and roll machine at heart, featuring a pair of Gibson P-90s that provide players the perfect middle ground between single-coil jangle and humbucker body, all with the perfect amount of chime. Like many SGs, this model has a load of playability compared to the lumbering size and weight of Gibson’s flagship electric LPs. Between its trim body, slim neck and light weight, is just as easy to play standing or sitting. Plus, it’s still in great shape for a used guitar and will receive a full professional in-house setup so it plays great top to bottom. Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only minor playwear in the form of light surface scratches in the finish but is otherwise still very clean for a used guitar. The electronics have all been tested and function as they should. The frets show almost no wear whatsoever and the truss rod functions perfectly. Body: Double cutaway solid mahogany body in Heritage Cherry finish. 4-ply black pickguard. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. Black top hat controls with silver inserts. Weight: 6 lbs 11.9 ozNeck: One piece rounded profile mahogany neck and cream-bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid pearloid inlays. 1.695” Tektoid nut. Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with green keystone keys. Electronics: Gibson P-90 pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector. Case: Original Gibson Gigbag.
