This version is the same as the Edge 6 NT Natural but has a maple fretboard. Hipshot Saddles New to 2017 Edge NT Series, we changed these saddles to a new type of square hipshot saddles. This is a great new upgrade we are excited about and it has added volumes to the harmonics and overall tone of this guitar. Neck Through Body Construction The highest end construction a guitar can have. All neck-through (NT) versions of this model have Maple aside Walnut, with solid walnut wings. This construction provides you the most sustain, tuning stability and also eliminates the heel which gives you all-access to the higher frets. The contoured body and Open-Pore finish makes this guitar incredibly comfortable in all aspects. Blank Maple Fretboard In combination with very prominent side dots, this blank maple fingerboard has a 17 inch radius and a thin profile, which makes this guitar insanely quick. Locking Tuners, Graph Tech Nut & Neck Volute Here you can see the thumb-screw locking tuners which make tuning stable and stringing much easier. We use Graph Tech TUSQ Nuts for all our guitars, also! This neck is very smooth and silky like a satin neck but you still feel connected to the material with the "open-pore" finish. The volute not only adds material to the most vulnerable part of thin profiled necks, but it also provides a clear “home” to your left hand when you go down for riffs. Untampered Vibration Here you can see the "Open-Pore" finish on the body which gives this guitar incredibly resonant and growly tones. This very thin finish which leaves your guitar unhindered by caked on finish which ruins most guitars natural vibration. Grab your Edge by the neck and knock on the body to hear and feel the high-end resonation all the way through.
