Road worn replica of the first ever fender model, the esquire, released in the 50s, comprised of one single coil bridge pickup, and evolved into the telecaster. Brilliant vintage tone, good for country. All parts are 1950's vintage specification: • Sugar pine body with black nitro finish (road worn) • all parts are vintage specification • neck finished in nitro with a good relic • Fender vintage R.I pickup with three way control featuring paper in oil caps, CTS pots and all cloth wire • full thickness body Original run of Esquires were made from laminated pine and just 1.5' thick... a thicker body was chosen to increase resonance.
