Gretsch G6120SHBK. 2009Brian Setzer Hot Rod. Flat Black. TV Jones Setzer Signature Pickups.Aluminium True Arc Bridge!Super Cool looking Pro series Gretsch with upgrades to make it even more 'Hot Rodded!'Hardcase and Gretsch certificate/documentation etc.Original tune-O-matic style bridge is included but the True-Arc is a vast improvement for Bigsby action so unlikely you'd want to change it back. The Setzer Pickups have way more clarity and sparkle than the standard filtertrons etc. I've owned a few Gretsch's over the years including a Tennessee Rose and always found the standard filtertron pickups to be a bit on the dark side, the TV Jones on here really do bring more air or life to the sound.I'd say the guitar is perfect for someone who needs to cover a wide range of styles within that 'retro' range of swing, blues, rockabilly etc. but also still badass enough to go punk/rock/alternative if needs be. Acoustically unplugged it's not as resonant as other hollow bodies I've owned, especially compared to a full size archtop obviously, but then it's not a super deep body and meant to be more comfortable feel. It still certainly loud enough acoustically not to warrant practice with an amp etc. A nice lively vibe. The Setzer models have 9.5 radius necks and slightly shorter scale length ( than standard retsch's so in my opinion makes them a bit more comfy for smaller hands or players who prefer that feel, depending on your viewpoint, it's of course a personal thing. This will be listed elsewhere so don't wait too long if you want to come try it etc. Feel free to get in touch regards viewing. Sadly I'm not really up for any trades as only selling due to needing the funds not more gear!, ...otherwise it would be staying firmly put.I haven't added postage yet as would much prefer cash on collection and for whoever buys it to actually play and make sure it's the right guitar for them etc. I would however consider posting through a local guitar shop owner I know who uses insured TNT service and packages up properly etc after chatting first. Thanks for looking.
