Vintage Viper! Description You're looking at a vintage late-70s Ovation Viper in beautiful condition in natural finish (I believe they called this finish "Nutmeg"). With an E + 5 digit serial number, according to Internet research it should be a 1975-1980 instrument. For a 36 to 40-year-old instrument, it's very clean. Must have been played very little or just handled with great care. I've taken a pic of the only ding which is right near the neck plate. These Vipers are very rare and will be hard to find many in this shape. Two great sounding humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector mini-switch. Everything looks original except the pickguard and knobs have been changed at some point. Unique body shape with single cutaway and rear body contour. Awesome feeling 24-fret, 2-octave neck with excellent fret life. Distinctive Ovation headstock style with unique chrome/black Ovation tuners. Basically, it's not like any other electric guitar you'll see, and this finish seems to be a fairly rare one. Comfortable about 8 and a half pounds. Set up great. Everything working right.
