There is some light clear coat weather checking - but that's about it.   Overall, the finish is glossy, clean and almost perfect. The back has 1 or 2 really light clear coat indents,
All the electronics work as intended and the neck is straight.  It plays absolutely amazing and is a 1 of a kind.
She weighs 7.2 lbs. and was made in Nashville, Tennessee. Here's the factory details -  The Gibson LeGrand is a descendent of the Gibson Johnny Smith model of the 1960s, however those specifications are combined with some of the features of the Gibson L-5C.  While the Johnny Smith had a 25” scale length the LeGrand has a longer scale of around 25.4”.   While the Johnny Smith had X bracing under the top the LeGrand has the tone bar bracing.   While the Johnny Smith had a 1 ¾” nut width the LeGrand has a comfortable and easy to negotiate 1 11/16th” nut.    Nevertheless, both guitars are sterling examples of what the Gibson Company is capable of when they focus their attention on making an ultimately high quality acoustic archtop with a soft, Venetian, cutaway.  This model has a single gold-plated humbucking pickup attached to the pickguard that hovers over the unobstructed face below the fingerboard, and a volume control on the lower treble corner of its elevated  pickguard.  It has four ply crème-black headstock border with crème celluloid outermost, the same sequence on all three sides of the fingerboard, 6-ply binding on the face, four ply on the elevated tortoise type pickguard, single ply crème binding on the twin open f-holes, gold plated parts including Gibson logo, sealed-back tuners with tulip metal buttons, floating humbucking pickup, adjustable bridge saddle on an ebony base with twin fleur-de-lis, one on each side, and Oettinger “six-finger” adjustable tailpiece.  Fingerboard inlays in 8 positions are three-part having twin facing triangles of mother of pearl and a central trapezoid of colorful abalone – each component with a diagonal black line separating the sections.  Its sides, back and heel cap are bordered in crème and black and when white celluloid outermost.  The back and sides are highly figured flame maple, and so are three of the five sections comprising the back of the maple neck (two vertical stripes of what appears ebony separates the three flame maple sections.    The back of the headstock is (like the front) underlain in black and, at its center, is the five-part “Les Paul Custom” style decoration of four triangles that each look like sailboat sails, plus an abalone block at the center.  The back of the headstock comes down to a point behind the second fret in a manner that harkens back many decades.  The front of the headstock features the bright pearl “Gibson” script logo, the five-part “split diamond” and abalone block decoration, and the word “LeGrand” in white on the white bordered bell-shaped truss rod cover.    The nut width, as we said, is 1 11/16th and the string spacing at the bridge saddle is an even 2”.   Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case.
