The guitar has a chip on body by the amp plug.It has a very light chip on the fret board. for years I thought it was a stain.its not very deep. it has a few small dings on the edge of body .I bought this guitar in 2002.it had a small decal covering the body chip.which the last owner had filled in.If you have never played one of these strats with live pick ups..The sound is like no other.go online to some of the blogs and read the reviews.. This guitar plays great. It comes with the factory hard shell case.I will sell to the lower 48 states only..I am collecting 135.00 for shipping with full insurance. if it cost less i will refund the differencethe neck of the guitar was made in 1997 but the body was made and the guitar was put together in January 1998. how do i know this/ anyone can call Fender 1-844-202-0924 and give them the serial number and in minutes they will tell you everything about that guitar.. 8am to 11pm mon to fri ESTIt takes a 9 volt battery for the p/u's .it lasts a long time. it has strap locks on it .it will be sold with the strap..don't worry about shipping it will be very well packaged.. this guitar is a 1997-98 American Stratocaster Plus.
