Here is another guitar that fits into the “player” category. This appears to be a mid 60’s Gibson Melody Maker that has seen some heavy modification over the years, but still has a lot of give based on playing this in our shop. This is a very lightweight guitar with lots of vintage vibe and rock attitude. The body is mahogany as is the neck with a rosewood fretboard on this guitar. The original tailpiece has been removed and the bridge has been replaced with a Nashville style wraparound bridge which is of high quality and mass. The pickguard has been replaced as many of the originals either shrunk or snapped over the years. This replacement does remove the “Melody Maker” logo by the neck with a plain black strip as pictured. The pickup and tuners appear to be replacement, but they work fine and have the right “Deluxe” appearance on the tuners. That’s up for discussion. This Mid 60’s Gibson Melody Maker Electric Guitar is a used item in VG+ condition. This guitar is generally in clean shape. There are no major issues, dings or marks on the guitar with the exception of 2 dings on the back of the body. There is some visible neck wear though the frets still have good life on them. The electronics work as they should. You will receive this item well-packed in a gig bag, but without the original paperwork or packaging. Please contact this seller for additional information.
