As close as it gets to a £2500 Custom Shop Strat without the mortgage.
Listing as used, but totally mint Fender '57 Vintage FSR Mex Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red nitro lacquer finish, with a lightly flamed neck. A real one-off! Comes in Fender tweed case pictured. (discount if you collect without a case). This is a world apart from standard Mexican 50's models for the following reasons:
Lightweight select alder body with more resonant tone. Old candy apple red lacquer finish to let the wood breathe and vintage 50's tone come through Slight v shaped neck profile, with more attention to detail on nut height, neck edges and frets. A+ flame- subtle but gorgeous. Neck set low in cavity so vintage alnico pickups can remain low like a USA model *Mex guitars tend to have pickups set high as the neck is not set in as low and it spoils the feel
This guitar was £950 new and is basically the spec you would get for £2500 if it had a USA sticker.....you are saving a fortune. Start price just £599 with no reserve!
