JHG Custom Guitars is Here! Launched in late 2016, we are pleased to offer the SS-101 line of Guitars! This is part of the first run of instruments that we made (20 in total). The action is almost as low as the serial number! This guitar was featured this year at the NAMM show and received some really great reviews. It is an upgrade from the base models we make, only due to the second pickup and pick guard. We will be making 400 units this year between our SS-100 and SS-101 series guitars, as well as a tele model, strat design and Les Paul design. This instrument plays and feels excellent. We are a business based in repair and maintenance of stringed instruments for many years including time at Buffalo Bros. Guitar Store, Based in Carlsbad, CA. We have stayed at this location since the store closed and continued to provide services to local, regional and international players. The neck has been praised several times for its feel. The weight of the guitar is comfortable and the hand selected parts and materials shine through in one harmonious effort. This guitar features our signature head stock and medallion logo, newest body shape and contours, as well as many thoughtful details reflecting the experiences we have had over the years we feel define what a good guitar should feel and play like. Our slogan is 'Guitar Perfected'. You may not like the color, but you will love the way it plays. The good news is that we can make this guitar in just about any color you please right here in Carlsbad, Ca, where these guitars are conceived and built everyday. Contact us for any special requests. Here's a summary:'This is an easy flat top guitar with a 24 3/4 scale. The Porter Pickups are balanced nicely and the play is very easy. I can play several styles on this instrument. All of the hardware is thoughtfully selected and gives off the feel of a very nice instrument even considering the price tag. Most instruments with these features alone cost a couple thousand more... and they still need a setup. This guitar has been dressed and setup by James himself. It wears 10's but plays like 9's because the guitar isn't choking itself. I just have a lot of confidence when I play it.
