The neck has a medium C shaped profile that feels full without getting too chunky. The rosewood fretboard boasts its original set of 20 slender frets with 14 clear of the body, and these frets show virtually nothing in the way of play wear. The white plastic faced "Gumby" headstock sports a raised Airline logo and its original set of Kluson Deluxe double line tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.The body consists of two black molded pieces of fiberglass joined together by a white vinyl gasket, with a chrome plate over a single resonator cone with a biscuit bridge and an aluminum trapeze tailpiece.
