This is a 1990 Made in Japan Squire body with a more recent American neck. It has a switch that enables you to use the front and rear pickups together and the bottom tone pot is wired to change the tone on the rear and middle pickups (it's usually just the middle). The tremolo has a fender spring inside the hole so the arm settles perfectly wherever you want it without being loose, floppy, or rattly and is incredibly smooth which is aided by four springs at the back - as opposed to the more common three (I don't have five because that makes it too tight imho!) The frets have recently been skimmed and polished and the guitar has been professionally set up for 9.5s - and if you have never tried a Stratocaster guitar with 9.5s I for one can't recommend it enough! Also, this guitar is set up using ThroBak round core pure nickel strings which, again imho, are just perfect for single coil pickups and this guitar plays and sounds incredible! My guitar tech also assured me that the tone and volume pots have been replaced at some point with finest quality American counterparts. Overall the guitar has a fantastic 'vintage' vibe with the odd customary ding here and there (which I have tried to capture in the photographs) whilst also having a neck that not only looks the part (especially with that oversized headstock) but is a joy to play and I will be extremely sorry to see it go but needs must etc. It's also a richer 'creamier' colour than in the photos which really don't do it justice at all! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me and please see my feedback and other items for sale. Many thanks for looking.
