2014 Gibson Les Paul Custom 59 VOS Jimmy PageThis guitar came out of a collection and is considered unplayed besides the set-up. This 2014 Gibson Custom 59 Les Paul reissue was a custom order by a dealer in Japan with a hand picked top by Edwin Wilson. Its was also painted in a custom color called New Orange Sunset Fade which is the same color as the Jimmy Page #1 guitar. The dealer wanted a color as close as possible to the Jimmy Page 59 #1 Les Paul (not the reissue but Page’s real guitar) and this is what they came up with. This guitar was painted by Mickey McGuire and his paint work is just absolutely stunning. The top was hand selected by Edwin Wilson, Program Director at Gibson Custom and comes with a special “Hand Select” certificate that states the top was hand selected by Edwin Wilson. It was not available for distribution in the USA. The wavy flamed maple top on it is unreal and moves around a lot from different angles. Nice lush flame that can be seen front to back and top to bottom. It also has mineral flecks in the top that makes it look like a real old 59 Burst. The finger board on this guitar is nice chocolate brown and has some beautiful wood grain in it. Weighs 8 pounds 9 ounces. It has all the 2014 specs including the finger board is glued to the neck with hot hide glue and the neck is glued to the body with hot hide glue. It has Burst Bucker pickups. It is in as brand new condition in the original shipping carton with all hang tags, certificate, hand selected top certificate, and all factory paper work.
