This is the Fender Jazzmaster 1966 reissue, Crafted in Japan (CIJ) which I bought in 2006 from Ishibashi Music in Osaka, Japan and had shipped over to me. It was imported especially for me because I wanted one with a nice neck grain. I have tried to show this in the pics. The following upgrades have been made which turned it from a good guitar into something special.
Mastery bridge (this is without a doubt the best replacement bridge for these guitars, I've had four different aftermarket bridges and this blows them all out of the water)Seymour Duncan SJM-3 Quarter-Pound in the treble/bridge position, and a Seymour Duncan SJM-2 Hot Jazzmaster in the rhythm/neck - I spent a LONG time on the phone to Seymour Duncan to end up with this configuration and haven't changed it in ten years, I am extremely picky about tone - sounds stunningStayTrem tremolo arm and collet - this stops the arm from dangling or spinning around and also offers more travel and a much nicer action than the stock fittingJaguar style knobs (originals included) - I liked these as easier to see the white lines on stage.Custom made Olympic White pickup covers which perfectly match the bodyReplacement three way lower switch (original broke after five 8 years) which was the highest quality one I could get, and with a paint matched switch topWhite upper switch (I had this as it is easier to see on a dark stage, plus it looks cool)I have a video of the guitar below, showing the various pickup configurations: The guitar has been gigged (it was my main guitar in a covers band for seven years) and as a result has signs of wear. I have shown these as well as I can in the pics. No major bashes through the finish, just the usual wear in areas like the lower bout, around the headstock and on the extremities. The guitar is in great condition. Minimal fret wear, guitar has been polished and neck oiled last month. I have set it up, intonation is perfect as you would expect and action is medium - it can be set much, much lower though. I like it medium as it is more versatile for slide etc. I will include the Mastery bridge tools and the original tin/instructions. It is very clean (I do not like gunk all over my gear and I take care of my guitars). Will be shipped with a quality gig-bag (the original was poor quality and was binned a long time ago).Guitar specs:Weight around 8lbsC-shape neck profileAlder bodyMaple neck
