This auction is for a rare vintage 1981 B.C. Rico Wave Prototype. It is one of three made for display at the 1981 NAMM show. There are some minor dings on the face of the body and a small chip on the bottom back edge of the body and some fine scratches on the body. Otherwise for a vintage guitar of this age it's in good condition. This guitar is completely original with a serial number stamped on the headstock. The pickups absolutely kill. They are rich in harmonics and the notes just jump out with ease. It has a very smooth low action, and no fret wear at all. It has medium jumbo frets. Stays in perfect tune and just a dream guitar to play with easy access to every fret. Stock DiMarzio PAF in the neck position and DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position. This guitar was hard to photograph due to the high gloss finish but I've included close ups of the slight imperfections on the body. Any questions regarding the authenticity, please google B.C. Rich 1981 NAMM show images. Scroll down to see the other one of three prototypes in green. Professionally set up and ready to play. Comes with a gig bag and will be well packed.
