Based in Orange County, California, Baines Guitars is a boutique custom guitar shop that makes high quality unique instruments. This Cherry Sunburst Stratocaster has a very lightweight swamp ash body with a quilted maple top, finished in a Cherry Sunburst and the EMG David Gilmour model DG-20 pickup system. This guitar features a 2012 Made in USA Fender maple neck, a beautiful, light weight chambered body that is finished in Cherry Sunburst on the front and transparent cherry on the back. With this beautiful body, Fender USA parts and EMG DG-20 pickups, it has a one-of-kind look, sound and playability. Baines Guitars only makes a few guitars a year and this is your chance to own one in the lower serial numbers (011). The EMG David Gilmour model DG-20 pickup system is an active pickup system, with three ivory Alnico loaded SA single coil noiseless pickups, an EXG Guitar Expander for increased treble and bass frequencies, and an SPC presence control to enhance the earthiness and mid-range. The EXG and SPC tone controls work on all pickups. The set normally comes on a white pearl pickguard, but this guitar features a parchment/cream colored pearl pickguard and tremolo cover as a nicer match to the cream pickup covers and a natural complement to the yellows in the body finish. The guitar is newly built; all parts are new except for the EMG pickup system which was made in 2010 and the neck which came from my 2012 USA American Standard. This guitar has been set up to Fender standards for truss rod adjustment, string height and intonation. The matching white tipped tremolo arm and a certificate of authenticity is included.You may consider building your own top-of-the-line Stratocaster.
