Product Description The futurist 1984 Explorer™ EX is “1984” come to life with a classic form that stands out on stage. Originally introduced in 1958, the Explorer’s radical and futuristic body shape has since been adopted as the instrument of choice for hard rock and metal players. With a sleek new update of the classic design combined with high output EMG pickups, the “1984” is a whole new Explorer. New Retail Price = $729 Our Price = $629 (save $100!!) What was refurbished on this guitar: When this guitar came in from the factory, the only issue found by the authorized refurbisher was a minor finish flaw on the neck (see photo). No repairs or modifications were made to the guitar - they simply gave it a set-up and left it alone. Aside from the minor cosmetic flaw, it looks and plays like new. Back of the headstock is stamped "used" and original serial # has been replaced with a new one.
