This is an Interesting old used Master German H. Moritz Schuster Violin of ca 1910/1920 from the Musikhaus (Workshop) of H. Moritz Schuster.
Well crafted instrument, with good carved scroll and fine purfling . There're no open seams, some few blemishes on it´s varnish and wood. The instrument has been completely checked by a prestigious luthier in Florence.
The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. The back is two piece maple. The varnish is of a brown gold color.
Very beautiful deep, powerful, warm and mature sound, rich of colors and overtones. Will Suit well for Chamber Music and with its personality will allow the player to express his/her passions/music. An excellent well kept instrument in immediate playing condition! It has its original ebony pegs, ebony tailpiece, a new bridge, sound post, strings are Thomastik Dominant.
