This is a little bit older model Duesenberg, made in 2000. For a guitar that is 17 years old, this guitar has been babied. The cool thing about this guitar that makes it unique to any other Duesenberg out there is the finish. The "Silver Sparkle" finish that this guitar started out with, has aged beautifully over the last 17 years. The silver has yellowed with age, turning this guitar into a stunning Gold or Champagne Sparkle. You will truly never see another Duesenberg like this! It has the older trem system, which puts any Bigsby I've ever used to shame. It still uses the same classic pickup configuration that Duesenberg is so famous for - the P-90 Domino in the neck, and the Grand Vintage Humbucker in the bridge. The Flame Maple on the back is beautiful. Even the tuners are a work of art, as they are no longer on the newer run models. Now onto cosmetics. The pickguard has one tiny crack in it, about half an inch long. It's stable, and not at risk of spreading, and it is pictured. The back has some minor swirling as any guitar that's been played will have. There is also some minor swirling on the headstock. No major scratches, dents, or dings anywhere. The SKB hardcase included with the sell, does have several scuff marks on the outside, but is in rock solid condition. The guitar is 100% functional, plays great, and sounds even better.
