This is a 2006 D’Angelico from a very limited number of hand crafted, carved top New Yorker 17’s made after the Vestax years in Nagoya around 2006. I purchased the instrument new. If you know about the Vestax and Nagoya instruments then you know how amazing these early instruments are. They really have that magical and ethereal tone we jazz guys are all looking for. This is one of those instruments. Lush warm and complex but not 60K.Everything about the instrument is perfect and ready to go to the gig. No set ups or adjustments needed. I’m a player of 45 years and just went through everything. Here re some specs if you aren’t familiar.Body size: 17". Scale length: 25.5" Nut Width: 1 11/16"Materials: Solid German Spruce X-braced Top; Solid Flame Maple book matched back, sides and neck; solid ebony fingerboard with pearl slashed-block inlays; seven ply top binding; three ply binding; triple bound back, headstock, fingerboard and f-holes.Hardware: Original hardware including, adjustable rosewood bridge; gold stair-steped D’Angelico logoed tailpiece; quintuple bound tortoise art deco pickguard; gold Grover Rotomatic sealed back tuners with Imperial keys; gold Kent Armstrong humbucking pickup with volume and Tone control mounted to pickguard.This instrument is a Terada workshop built model from Nagoya, Japan. The instrument is Excellent and 100% original condition. Case: Original Black faux alligator deluxe arched DA logo plush hard-shell case.
