Up for sale is this 1967 Epiphone Sorrento project guitar husk. Epiphone guitars in the 1960s were made at the same plant and by the same people in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who made Gibson guitars. This is obviously the rarer two pick-up version. To be very clear, all you get in the sale is the guitar husk it self. The tremotone tailpiece will be removed prior to shipping and is not included in the sale. The case is also not included, but the guitar will be safely and carefully packed for shipping. Overall, the husk is in very good cosmetic condition. There's a little bit of rubbing to the finish where the bridge was, as is common on the style of guitar. There are no cracks or breaks, and the color of the burst is still vibrant. The Brazilian Rosewood fretboard is quite beautiful, as are the oval mother of pearl inlays. The tuners have obviously been replaced, but you should be able to drop in original tuners if you'd like. This guitar had a neck reset at one point, at which time the frets were also replaced. The one issue that does need to be addressed is that the neck does have a rising tongue, which will have to be remedied by a luthier or someone who knows what they're doing. The guitar can be strung up as it is and played. The action is a bit high, although it does play chords fine in your typical cowboy cord position. I have the other parts for this guitar, which I will be putting up for sale shortly. All in all, A great starting point for a cool guitar project. Buyer understands that work will need to be done and that this is a project. The serial number indicates a date of 1967. Price is $999.99 or best offer. I have some room to negotiate, but no lowballs please. And definitely don't offer at less than half of asking price! Shipping is $59.99 to the domestic USA.
