Description
Brand: Ibanez

The Ibanez Talman is a typical example of a series of great guitars that didn't find their players - between 1994 and 1998 several varations of the Talman were released, with different designs, woods (including a composite wood known as Resoncast), and pickups (humbuckers, minibuckers, lipsticks, P90s and different combinations), then the model disappeared, I feel, before anybody even had the time to notice that Ibanez could do something else than JEMs.Once described as the love child of a Firebird and a Telecaster, this Japanese guitar sandwiches a lipstick tube pickup between two mini-humbuckers for an atypical but very useful array of tonal options. The body is made from a composite wood called Resoncast and is aptly named — this instrument rings beautifully and is especially well-suited to clean or moderately distorted tones. The mini-humbuckers, in particular, deliver the kind of articulate tonal definition and touch sensitivity you want when you’re switching between lead and rhythm parts. The gold hardware and pearloid binding add a nicely understated elegance. Likewise, the gold Gotoh tuners, which stand up to all but the most extreme of whammy bar abuse. In very good condition, with almost imperceptible ghosting on the front pickguard from what appears to be old price stick-on. The guitar still includes the original cellophane on the pickguard and truss rod-cover. Absolutley Immaculate. Im also including the original ibanez 1994 Price Catalogue.I'm usually not a fan of golden gear but there it fits perfectly the the cream finish of the Resoncast body and the perloid binding. It's a superb instrument and it's a pity that it's been discontinued so quickly, it had the potential of a classic!Serial Number: F340180Time of Manufacture: 1994Place of Manufacture: Fujigen JapanNeck Profile: Soft C Shape Neck ProfileFret Condition: No Fret WearWeight: 7.1 PoundsAction: Professionally set-up Low action 10'sOverall Condition: "Mint Condition" Colour: Alpine white BurstOriginality: 100% Original. Dings, Scratches, other: Nothing to report. - Please refer to pictures below.
