For sale is a very, very fien example of this most gorgeous of Epiphones take on the ES-335.This one as you can see comes from the renowned Korean manufacturer Saein Corporation (Shine).Saein were the first Korean factory to get a bit cash injection from Gibson to retool their workshop for some of Epiphones higher end semi, hollowa dn solid bodied guitars, and is always a stamp of great fit and finish.Saein guitars were the zenith of Epiphones until Gibson built their facility at Qingdao, but even then it took until the last 3 years or so to start to turning out consistently well made guitars to this quality, and I have to say, what Qingdao now do very well is a good quality thin finish, as opposed to the thick polyester finishes that to me have made many Epiphones less than desirable.Everything about this guitar is standard, all it really needs is an owner who plans to keep it to choose a nice set of handwound humbuckers from the winder of their choice and get them installed. I've fitted around 12 pickup sets in Sheratons, and apart from one they all made a very significant difference for the good, and a few sounded quite extraordinary, proving that although timbers play a role in all electric guitars, ultimately your pickup choice will be the deciding factor.At or close to the BIN price the pictured hard shell case is included, as contrary to belief the standard 335 style case will not fit a Sheraton, as the headstock length requires a few inches more.One of my best buddies a studio owner plays one o0f these in a hard rock band, with some Bare Knuckle pickups and that squeals like a thing that squeals a lot.
