THIS Beautiful slab appears to have its original cherry finish.
While it may LOOK brown in some photos, its more cherry red.
needs a couple of single pickups wired in, and you are instant vintage cool with this great old piece. it plays great and could use an adjustment as you go higher up the neck, at about the 13th fret, you fret "out" on a couple of the high strings. i have heard this gem with pickups, and its just a treat to play. time for it be enjoyed, and played more often. i think its a 64 by the serial number. its a slab body. the pots are newer, and it will need a toggle, and will need to be wired up.
make a fair offer. these are seldom seen, especially this color with the 2 pickups. it appears some light modifying was done in the pickup cavities. on the neck pickup cavity, a couple holes were drilled through, which could be easily plugged. it appears that the pickup cavities were made a bit DEEPER in some areas, but NOT wider. grover tuners.
