I purchased this R8 in early spring 2011. It is a gorgeous quilted maple top with exquisite figuring. The neck is not a real chunky neck as I had on my 57 RI. It is a little slimmer. It has excellent resonance. I hate to part with this, but I really do not have a choice. The guitar is listed in the local market as well on the Rev. site and it may terminate at anytime. I will entertain offers on this that are reasonable. What makes this guitar special:  This magnificent R8 was manufactured in '97, making it a second year model & very rare.  This particular model has a stunning quilt top finished in Amber Burst.  A not-too-beefy '58 profile neck combined with a pair of Gibson PAF reissue humbuckers makes this gorgeous Les Paul an awesome sounding guitar & a must have for any serious player or collector!Cosmetic Condition:  Excellent condition overall with some minor nicks & dings.Neck:  Super comfortable, one-piece neck with cream binding & black side-dots.  Beautiful, dark fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays.  Frets are in great shape with no wear.  Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod
