1968 Vintage Ludwig Downbeat in Mod Orange!! ALL ORIGINAL!!! NO EXTRA HOLES, LIFTING OR CRACKS!!!Excellent well kept condition !! SUPER CLEAN!!!! Your chance to own the most iconic and sought after kit of all time !! This is extremely rare as this possibly may be the ONLY remaining Downbeat in Mod Orange left in the world beside John Densmore's!!! In all my years, I've never seen another Mod Orange Downbeat come up for sale let alone in excellent condition like this one. This is truly the Holy Grail of Vintage Drum Kits and a once in a lifetime chance to own it. Sizes are 20X14 Bass 12X8 Tom and 14X14 Floor Tom. I will be Including the original Cymbal Mount L-Arm attachment for Bass drum and original Ludwig Drum Key, Wrench and Anchor ....all original parts!!!! Also included are both sets of 14/16 floor tom legs. Original Keystone Badges, Round Dial Mufflers, Hoops with inlays, Original Rail Mount and Gullwing Spurs. Wrap is original and in excellent condition with ZERO lifting or cracks whatsoever. Seams are super tight on all drums. Bearing edges original and look fantastic. Orange is very vibrant on all drums.Some areas of purple have faded a bit to a grayish color but wrap still has a good amount of purple left. This is a somewhat transitional kit as both Tom/Bass Drum have 3 Ply Clear Maple Interiors and Floor has the White Resocoat Interior. Nonetheless, all drums were manufactured in 1968 with each drum having 6XXXXX serial numbers. Chrome is in fabulous condition with very minor pitting on Rail Mount from positioning. Ported Ludwig Head with DOORS Logo completes!! Ive meticulously gone over the kit and only note a couple of extremely minor things...Bass Drum hoop has typical Pedal Rash/Indent and Bass drum has a tiny pencil eraser sized rash from tom positioning. I've provided photos for reference and you can see how unnoticeable they are. As close to vintage showroom condition as you can get!!! It's also an instant attention getter when set up on stage for a gig!!! This kit was purchased from a vintage drum collector and has been extremely well kept and cared for since its original purchase. My photos do no justice as seeing it in person is unbelievable.
