This is an original Frank Kaspar #14 Bb clarinet mouthpiece made in Cicero,Illinois not to be confused with the Ann Arbor model made by his relative. It was used extensively for chamber orchestra, opera and ballet playing. It shows obvious signs of use but has no chips or damage to the tip or rails. Please see pictures for condition. It is a one owner mouthpiece acquired new in the 1960's and has never been refaced or altered. There are scratches and or ware marks on the reverse side from use with a Bonade inverted ligature that do not affect the playing. It was used with a rubber patch that prevented teeth mark damage to the beak. The #14 tip opening was a popular model. Original unaltered Cicero Kaspars in popular facings are becoming rare!
