PRS Semi-Hollowbody USA S2 Custom 22Lovely instrument which plays well and has an amazing range of tones. This was a 2015 model and afaik they haven't made this finish since then.Mahogany body carved out.Maple top with F hole.Mahogany NeckRosewood fretboard with bird inlays
Locking tuners The pickups measure about 7.8k/8.2k with enclosed covers. They are the #7 S2 type which have alnico magnets. So it's a very vintage sounding setup which suits the semi-hollow vibe really well. The tone knob is push/pull to split the humbuckers for single coil sounds. The remaining coil is wound hotter than the other so as to give less volume drop. Also this mismatch in winding gives a more open PAF type tone to the pickups.
Prefer pickup from Mornington Victoria, willing to deliver free to SE suburbs that run off the Eastlink toll road. Postage via a courier could be arranged. I have an old hard case (just a strat sort of one) I can throw in and a big guitar box.I just don't play it much. Never really have. It's mainly just sat on the guitar stand looking pretty. I like it kind of but I've never really taken to the bird inlays. They really really really really annoy me soooo much. I know it's a PRS unique thing but it just bugs me no end. I like dots. Guitars have dots. That's it. I don't like Gibson trapezoids much at all either, or Gretsch neoclassical thumbnails.... you get the picture. And as such I just never took to this guitar. It does have an amazing range of tones, it plays beautifully, it's a top notch instrument, I just don't like the birds.
