This is a 1975 R13 Buffet Clarinet 150e 150th Anniversaire edition, made in France.The serial number is 154xxx, which makes it one of the Golden Era models. I am the only owner and only musician to play this clarinet. This clarinet was originally purchased at Westwood Music and Things in Westwood, CA in 1999 by my mother from the owner. The owner was my first music teacher and brought this out from their storage. The clarinet had never been opened or taken out of its plastic before that point. It has been repadded once at North Woodwinds in 2004. I have taken care of this clarinet diligently as it was for many years my prize possession. I played it from 1999 to 2006 on a daily basis in symphony, marching band, orchestra, solo competitions and duets. I am sad to part with it, but being that I no longer play much at all, I think it needs a new home in the hands of someone who will love it and use it. The sound is rich, deep and wholesome. Many of my teachers and professors enjoyed playing on it a little and always cautioned that I take good care of it. There are no cracks, blemishes or exceeding wear of any kind. It probably wouldn't hurt to have it repadded and polished. All the items in the case are original, including the two keys and reed box. I have yet to see another clarinet of this age and quality quite like it available for purchase, so I'm pricing it close to what I've seen others sell for. It is currently at North Woodwinds in Chico, CA to have an estimation on a complete overhaul. Will update this post with the estimation and details of their findings.
