Here is a late 1980's (maybe early 90's) Fender 50's Reissue Telecaster (Made In Japan) that I have covered with one of my custom, hand-tooled Western-style Waylon covers. This is the most iconic leather cover pattern.A little about the guitar itself:The guitar neck and body is a late 80's Fender 50's Reissue. The neck stamp says "TL354) at the heel. When I got it, the body had been refinished and modified to allow for humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. It made a great candidate for a cover. When they refinished the body, they filled the string-through holes at the bridge. It now has a top-loader Fender USA bridge with Joe Barden brass compensated saddles. The pickups and electronics are from a Fender USA American Standard Tele. The neck has the original Gotoh tuners and has some very cool relic-style wear to the fretboard and treble edge. It has a strong vintage appeal. The neck profile is a thin C and extremely comfortable to play.
The cover is brand new and just completed. It is set up with .010 gauge strings and sounds and plays incredible. Because the guitar itself is somewhat of a "parts guitar", the sale price is much less than you typically will pay for my leather guitars.
The look is pretty self-explanatory. Pay close attention to the photos to appreciate the attention to detail and depth of the tooling work. You will not find this kind of depth and detail on eBay for this price. In fact, leather crafters can charge upwards of $2500 for the cover alone.

This particular Waylon cover is what I call the "Worn Waylon."
This is my "Gray-lon" with aged/relic look. I have applied a black gel into the tooling to highlight the detail and used superior calf lace in black as the trim! I put many hours in the detail and visual appeal. The cover is made from Hermann Oak premium leather and then hand-tooled and laced by me. I put many hours in the detail and visual appeal. I must admit, I prefer this look over the all-white version. The details and depth of the tooling is much more visible and dramatic. Plus, it's a lot easier to play and not worry about getting the ultra-white color dirty. This cover is a different approach to my usual color patterns. I often sell these on a commission basis and the cost for those is $1350 and it's a Made in Mexico FSR/1950's Telecaster. This is a rare chance to get one already made and it's a very unique example to boot! It's also outfitted with an exquisitely detailed leather cover that will help increase it's value! You will be hard-pressed to find a Tele like this, with this much detail in the leatherwork, for this price.
You also get the hand-tooled Wayon-themed leather strap with "OUTLAW" on the front. I think it's a cool set! This is ideal for a stage guitar!
