Rickenbacker 4005 Vintage 1979 4005 Rickenbacker Bass. A beautiful and rare find In exceptional road worn condition. This bass has been professionally set up for killer low action, great playability, and fantastic tone and is accompanied by the original blue velvet lined hard case. Producing a one of a kind thick tonal resonance coupled with a slim neck and well positioned pickups makes this an exceptionally comfortable to play and aurally pleasing bass. It's no wonder that the 4005 is such sought after and increasingly rare bass as they're keepers for sure. This bass has been fitted with Grover tuners but otherwise is dead original and authenticates perfectly with serialisation and pot codes. There's just a bit of metal tape criss cross to additionally shield the pots in the control cavity with fine solder and all working well. There's some small dings on the edges of the body, light buckle worming, and neck finish rub but the overall finish is very clean as you can see in the pictures. Neck and frets in good shape and not excessively worn. The case is pretty nice inside and out but the latches need replacing the handle is fine. You can see from the pictures that this black beauty is in really excellent condition and just a lovely and rare find for your bass collection.
