Player's Perspective
Fresh from the 2017 NAMM show, Music Store Live is proud to offer up this stunning ESP Exhibition Eclipse! Every year, ESP makes a handful of guitars that are just so over the top, in the best of ways, that you can't help but to take notice. When we saw this one, we immediately stopped and said we had to have it for our shop. The first thing I couldn't help but notice were the inlays. The checkered flag inlays are 3D! Now, I don't know what sort of magical guitar building wizardry went into this, but the filling for the inlays appears to be deeper into the fretboard than the outline of the inlays. There's no way the photos will do it justice, but the only way to describe it is that it literally looks like you could dive into the inlays. I've never seen something like this before and it's just so absurdly cool! The carbon finish on this is awesome and makes the guitar look like the race car that it is! Gorgeous red binding accents throughout keep this looking classy, but thoroughly badass. Once you're done being mesmerized by the guitar's aesthetics - and don't worry, we fully expect that part to take a while - it's time to get down to playing, where the guitar just becomes more and more fun! The neck is super fast to play and the fretwork and action is impeccable. The action is crazy low on this and allows for super fast shredding, two handed tapping, arpeggio sweeps, and bends that will be seemingly limitless. The Duncan Pegasus and Sentient pickups are hot and want to drive that front end of your amp hard. The guitar feels like a Formula 1 race car waiting for the red lights to go out so it can speed off in a blur of adrenaline and excitement. Even when heavily saturated with tons of distortion, the tone remains clear, focused, and punchy. Even if you find yourself in an Iron Maiden sort of situation with 3 guitar players, you'll still sit well in the mix when you need to and be able to slice through like a chain saw through room temperature butter when the time comes.
Special Features
Each Exhibition Limited model is both a unique work of art and a high performance instrument. Incorporating the world’s finest materials, intricate inlays, hand carving and custom finishes, no two are alike. Collectors and players who purchase an Exhibition Limited guitar or bass will own a completely unique instrument that should be considered among the finest made in history. At first glance, the ESP Eclipse offers a classic single-cutaway shape that’s been part of music history for decades. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll understand why the world’s most discerning players prefer the ESP Eclipse over all other choices. Everything about the Eclipse, from the contour of the neck to the polish of the extra-jumbo frets, is designed for guitarists who want an instrument designed for their very best performances. Its top-quality tonewoods, and design details like body/neck/headstock binding and perfect inlays, set it apart from lesser instruments. The finest components, from the Seymour Duncan pickups and Schaller locking tuners all the way to the Schaller Security Locks, were chosen to ensure that in studios and on stages, the ESP Eclipse outshines every guitar in its class.
Overall Condition
This ESP Exhibition Limited Eclipse is brand new, in pristine mint condition, with absolutely no nicks, scratches, or blemishes of any kind and is being sold by an authorized dealer. Photos are of the exact guitar you'll receive.
